Razr Fit Driver Can Be Set In Open, Square Or Closed
The Callaway RAZR Fit driver is Callaway's first adjustable driver. It is one of my favorites. After testing it, I really enjoyed it.
I’m not a big mover or worker of the ball but by setting the RAZR Fit up this way I seemed to have a straighter ball flight or on occasion a little draw which I’ve never had in my golfing life. The ball still seemed to have some roll out as well despite the higher side trajectory. The ball didn’t seem to want to hang on the face long at all and wanted to get up and going as soon as possible.
The first thing that I tested and played around with were the OptiFit settings. Changing the face angle and switching the weights around is easily done and takes less than 60 seconds to complete. On a side note, the wrench that Callaway provides to make these adjustments is really simple and easy to use. The way it fits in your hand really makes it easy to change the club around without too much effort at all which makes the adjustability of the club not only easy but actually fun.
The Razr Fit ranked as one of the most forgiving clubs, so a tour level club with forgiveness seems to be a great combination for a golfer. The Razr Fit finished in the average range with a club head speed of 107.5 MPH, and in the above average class for total distance coming in at 262.3 yards on average. The cheap Callaway X Hot driver surprised many in the distance category coming in the top 4 of the 6 testers top 3!
Even though Callaway is a bit behind the 8 ball with adjustability, it was well worth the wait. Callaway’s Optifit Adjustment system is definitely something that was worth the wait because the ease of adjustability makes the club very versatile for all different swing types. The small club head produces a nice launch and a low spin trajectory, which is exactly what a lower handicap player is looking for in a driver.
The crown on the Callaway RAZR Fit driver is made from Forged Composite, which is light and strong to allow the head to be optimised. Variable face thickness and hyperbolic face technology help increase ball speed. Across the board, the Callaway RAZR Fit found its way into the top 3 for best Control and dispersion of shots. The sheer versatility allowed the testers to find settings that worked well for their swing which translated into superior control and clustering of drives.
The performance of cheap golf clubs is just as described by Callaway. Callaway spent an awful lot of time researching and perfecting this driver and the finished product is really something that you need to swing and hear for yourself. So if you are looking into a new driver, this could be one of your testers before buying.
