"The Educational Summit on Transferring the Language of Figure Skating to Future Generations convened on August 5-6, 2006 in Virginia. There were seven prominent coaches, judges, skaters, choreographers and officials who were present to participate, and four more, which included commentators, who joined a one hour conference call. More than twenty others offered comments verbally or in writing as well as giving their support for the validity of the questions and goals of the Summit. The thoughts and comments of all these interested people are an integral part of this resolution. The participants were a small, yet broad representation of figure skating history."
