    General Care

    • 1). Get a good night's sleep. Lack of sleep can cause black bags to develop. Ensure that you are getting a full six to eight hours sleep a night. If you find that you are restless at night or experiencing insomnia, talk to your doctor. Also try white noise such as a fan or an eye mask to help you relax at night.

    • 2). Release stress and tension. These can cause the bags to become worse. If you are experiencing difficult times, talk to someone about it instead of keeping it inside. Take time for yourself during the day to relax. Take a walk, listen to your favorite song, or read a magazine or whatever you use for stress relief.

    • 3). Visit your doctor. You may be experiencing allergies making the bags worse.

    Tea Bags

    • 1). Soak two tea bags in a cup of hot water for five minutes. You can use green or black tea.

    • 2). Remove the tea bags from the cup and place them on a plate to cool for 10 minutes or until the bags are cool.

    • 3). Place the bags on your eyes for 10 to 15 minutes.

    • 4). Repeat steps one through three two to three times a week.

    Cold Spoons

    • 1). Place two metal tablespoons in the freezer before you go to bed at night.

    • 2). Place the spoons on your eyes when you wake up. You want the back of the spoons against your eyes.

    • 3). Leave the spoons on for five minutes. Repeat the process daily.

    Cucumbers

    • 1). Slice a cumber into rounds that are approximately an 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.

    • 2). Place the cucumber slices in the refrigerator for a minimum of one hour to get them cold.

    • 3). Place the cucumber slices on your eyes and leave them for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat the process two to three times a week.
