The Difference Between a Tassimo Suprema & a Tassimo
- The most obvious difference between the TASSIMO and TASSIMO Suprema is the price. As of October 2010, the TASSIMO retails for $129.99, while the deluxe TASSIMO Suprema sells for $169.99. TASSIMO systems are sold directly by the manufacturer, and in retail stores including Bed, Bath & Beyond and Bloomingdales.
- While the TASSIMO features a plain black matte finish, the TASSIMO Suprema uses chrome on the operation button, on/off switch and beverage outlet, and has a stainless steel drip tray. Both machines include an adjustable stand to accommodate different cup sizes.
- The most notable difference between the TASSIMO and the TASSIMO Suprema is the water tank. The TASSIMO has a 68-ounce water tank that you can remove to fill, but it doesn't have a water filter. The TASSIMO Suprema has a slightly smaller removable water tank, which holds 61 fluid ounces, but it also includes a special water filter and an LCD monitor that tells you when it is time to change the water filter.
