Many women develop ovarian cysts (OC for shorten) during their reproductive years, but in most cases, they are harmless and doesn't require medical treatment at all.
But sometimes these cysts can cause major health problems that's why diagnosis and treatment is extremely important.
Ovarian cysts is part of a normal menstrual cycle to in part they should go away with the cycle but sometime these small fluid filled sacs develop into something that are similar to blister.
Any ovarian follicle that is larger than 2cm can be called an ovarian cysts.
Different types of cysts will have their own characteristics, and some will be more painful than others.
But they can be categorized into two different types:
  • Functional ovarian cysts that are most commonly observed in women.
  • The abnormal ovarian cysts, which are most likely to develop because of abnormal growth of the cells.
Functional cysts, a sac is formed when a woman is going through ovulation.
When the egg is released, the sac usually disappears.
But when in instance that the sac closes up before or after the egg is release, that the time when it for a semi-material which becomes a cysts.
Then there is the abnormal ovarian cysts.
These are the types of cysts which are developed due to the abnormal growth of cells.
However, they are not always cancerous.
In some cases, they burst, which requires an emergency surgery.
There are no known causes of these cysts.
Proper and timely diagnosis of the cyst and appropriate medication helps in treating ovarian cysts without causing any serious health problem.
There are plenty of medication that doctors give patients.
You need to know what's best works for your body.
Because this type of condition don't usually have symptoms which makes it more harder because you'll never know it hits you until it becomes known.
