Grilled Hawaiian Beef Teriyaki Recipe

This is a quick and easy way to put together some great beef kebabs. It is also and inexpensive, but tasty meal. The pineapple grills up with the beef giving you a fruity and flavorful dish.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound/450 g round or chuck steak, cut into 1" cubes
  • 1 15-ounce/450 mL can pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup/120 mL soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup/60 mL brown sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons/10 mL sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon/5 mL minced ginger

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 10 minutes


  • Total Time: 25 minutes


Preparation
Drain juice from pineapple into a saucepan. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil and ginger. Place on a low heat and simmer, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool. Place beef and pineapple pieces in a resealable bag. Pour marinade into bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours. Preheat grill. Thread meat and pineapple pieces alternately onto skewers. Grill for about 8 to 10 minutes or until done, turning occasionally.
