I Read Your Profile Online and I Think You Are a Nice Person, Jerk, Smart Or Ignorant - They Said
Well, suffice it to say that like you many of us have a large online presence, perhaps even larger than our actual offline presence.
That is to state that more people know us online than they do in real life, interesting how that happens isn't it? I mean some people are well-known online, but walking down the street no one really knows them.
Not too long ago, someone read my online profile and clicked a few links to see who I was and then emailed me after all this effort and said that I was a pretty nice guy.
Amazing, especially since the last two emails were telling me that I was a moron for my political views and selfless twit due to my life's accomplishments.
Well, neither of those were reality based, so I guess like you I'll go with the; "You are a nice person motif," even if all that was merely based on information on the Internet and chances are that I will never meet any of these people in real life.
So, for all of us on the Internet; well, we are either a nice person and intelligent or an ignoramus and scum bag.
There never seems to be in between, yet all the information out there is the same really, it's all up for interpretation and to that point don't people have better things to do than going around rating all the people they look up on the Internet? Anyway, let me clue you in on a little wisdom here.
What you think of me, well, that's not really so important, as there are 6.
6 Billion People on the planet and not enough time to get to know them all.
I cannot be concerned with what others think of me online.
Indeed, I am almost certain that it is irrelevant, and I am completely fortified and oblivious to such opinions now.
That is to say after 40 plus years, well, I know who I am.
And so do you for that matter, so don't let folks tell you what you are, you are you and what matters is what you think not them.
So, I no longer care what people think, that is provided folks actually think, which is whole other debate, as mostly humans react to various stimulus.
Isn't what people are doing when they react to your online profile? It is too bad that folks are so upset with life that they have to go and attack others, but everyone in life is somewhere along on their journey, these Internet attacks are merely proof that most people have not gone very far yet? No worries, don't let it get to you, as their comments are much more about their own mirror than yours or mine, they give themselves away you see? So, I disregard most all compliments and most of the critics who are over the top or simply making assumptions limited information.
I think this is the best way to play it and I think you ought to consider this.
