I loved the conversation John had with his dad. And it was chilling to see that scene where John?s dad pointed at Spencer in the Emergency Room after he?d been shot, knowing Spencer was the one who shot him. I only wish John?s dad were really here. It was a great payoff for those of us who have wanted John and Natalie to move forward together. John?s flashbacks of all the times he spent with Natalie were great to watch and there was nothing more adorable that those scenes where John imagined himself with Natalie, a dark-haired little boy like him and a redheaded little girl like Natalie as a happy family.

It was neat to see something that a lot of people could never imagine being a possibility for John.

And how could anyone not love that scene when John found Michael and little Tommy in the park and they talked about their family and John admitted that their mother wanted to pass on the engagement ring their father gave to her. I did laugh a bit because it was like I wanted to just pinch myself while watching John talk to his brother and his father about the subject of marriage and family and he didn?t faint dead away at the thought of it even once. More tears fell when John gave Michael the little hat for Tommy. And it was really cute when Michael told Tommy that he should be a doctor instead of a cop because the uniforms were better?

It?s going to be hard to take watching Natalie get the news that John is ?dead.? There she is waiting for him to come home and she?s about to be devastated yet again. It figures that just when John has made the decision to make a real life for himself and a family, something terrible happens.

Word has it that they will find a badly burned body and will believe it is John when they find the St. Jude medal that Natalie gave him. I also read that Hugh will also be hurt and badly burned. Will the dead body be Hugh?s and mistaken for John?s? Now you know John is not dead. I just hate going through all the sadness and crying (which of course I will do). I really just hope we get a good payoff on the other end of all this and I also hope we do not lose Hugh, as many rumors say we will.

David had plenty of funny lines last week, as usual, but nothing was funnier than the scene where he was at the police station and told Natalie that everyone was down at the docks looking for the gun and as soon as she ran off David sat down at her desk and said, ?Well, someone should hold down the fort.? Hey, if Antonio can be a cop again, David could be considered for a job at the police station. Hey, weirder things have happened, haven?t they?

And as much as I blast Todd, I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed his visit to Spencer, especially his parting shot when he asked Spencer, ?Do you think it?s appropriate to bring popcorn to an execution?? In this case, Todd, I?d say, ?Don?t forget the champagne!?

See ya next week.
