How to Change a Belt on an Oreck
- 1). Remove the screw from the access panel on the right side of the main nozzle.
- 2). Pry the door off the nozzle with a flat-head screwdriver. You now have access to the vacuum belt.
- 3). Pull the belt off the motor drive shaft and roller pulleys.
- 4). Wrap the replacement belt around the motor drive shaft pulley, stretch the belt to the opposite side of the access panel and loop it around the roller pulley.
- 5). Spin the roller by hand to ensure it is correctly installed. If the roller is difficult to spin, adjust the belt so it sits in the middle of each pulley.
- 6). Reattach the access panel cover by sliding it into place and reinserting the security screw.
