Marco Simone Hotel and Golf Resort

• The Marco Simone Hotel and Golf Resort was opened by fashion designer Laura Biagiotti in 1989. It accommodates travelers in suites overlooking its own 36-hole golf course for golfers of all abilities. A demanding 18-hole championship course was designed for international championship play. The executive course is less challenging than the championship course and is best for medium to low handicap players. The resort features a wellness center that includes massage service and a health and fitness club offering more activities such as tennis and swimming. Castelgandolfo Golf Resort

• Castelgandolfo Golf Resort sits among centuries-old trees in an ancient park and orchards located approximately 20 minutes south, or 15 miles, of the center of Rome. The landscape is that of an ancient volcanic crater that had become a lake. After the lake was drained and the water was siphoned for use, the crater remained. The 18-hole Robert Trent Jones golf course is onsite and was built with respect to the crater. The resort also offers fitness amenities including a swimming pool and tennis courts. While staying in the area, visitors can try the local wine, Frascati, produced in the region.
