Men"s Hair Removal: 3 Different Options to Choose From

103 11
Men's hair removal has come a long way - gone are the cavemen days when half buttoned shirts revealed more hair than Bigfoot has on his body.
Men are becoming increasingly concerned about uni-brows, excess face hair, chest and back hair, and other areas.
Several new options have become available to men, so let's look at what's out there.
Waxing or Sugaring Waxing and sugaring are very similar processes, where a layer of "goo" is applied to the hair and a strip of cloth or muslin is smoothed over the goo.
Once the mixture has set, the whole thing is removed in one quick, painful pull.
Waxing and sugaring can be done in a beauty shop/salon, some aestheticians travel around to homes to provide the most privacy for these services, and you can buy do-it-yourself kits.
I don't recommend the do-it-yourself method - very few people have what it takes to really rip the stuff off themselves effectively or efficiently.
Waxing is ideal for eyebrows, chest, the backs of hands/fingers, the neck, and back.
Over time the hair will become thinner and weaker, causing it to grow in less often.
Chances are the hair will never stop growing in completely, but you will be able to go longer between wax treatments.
Electrolysis While electrolysis sounds threatening, the method behind the madness is that a needle zaps the hair at its root, which kills it.
Electrolysis offers permanent results, but effectiveness varies from man to man and hair follicle to hair follicle.
This procedure must be performed by a professional electrologist and requires regular appointments for the best results.
The upside is that electrolysis kills hairs at the root and eventually eliminates growth.
Electrolysis is ideal for eyebrows, back of neck, and the sporadic hairs on the body.
Electrolysis is an expensive method of men's hair removal and is most effective for small patches where you want to permanently eliminate hair growth, so save electrolysis for the uni-brow.
Trimmers/Personal Shavers Personal shavers and trimmers are a discreet and easy way to remove unwanted hair at home.
The trouble is the frequency with which hair can (and often will, after shaving) grow back.
For a man who isn't worried about completely removing the hair, but would like to just manage it and keep it neater, a personal trimmer is an affordable, easy option.
You can choose from battery operated or plug in models.
Battery powered models come in both rechargeable and non-rechargeable models.
Personal trimmers also come with a variety of interchangeable heads and can include a nose hair trimmer, and a specific eyebrow tool.
This is the most pain-free method of hair removal, as you just cut the hair where it's growing along the skin.
You do have to use a trimmer frequently to manage hair growth and the hair does not stop or slow down its growth when being trimmed regularly.
Men's hair removal has become easier than ever, and a personal trimmer is the do-it-yourself guy's favorite method of men's hair removal!
