DIY Beer Mug Centerpieces

    • 1). Clean your beer mugs with dish soap. Rinse thoroughly.

    • 2). Decorate your beer mugs using glitter glue to sketch on the date of your party. If you intend each centerpiece to go to a specific guest, draw his name on as well. Let the glitter glue dry for at least an hour.

    • 3). Fill the mugs with soil and a small, green plant, such as a fern. The dark color of the dirt -- reminiscent of stout beers -- and the green are especially good for use around holidays such as St. Patrick's Day,

    • 4). Fill the mugs with butterscotch disks to represent the golden color of ales and lagers. Top the disks with small marshmallows to represent the foamy head.

    • 5). Fill the mugs with water and place plastic flowers on top to float in the water.

    • 6). Set the mugs in a circle, handles facing in, in the center of the table. Weave your ribbon through the handles and tie the ends into a bow to complete your centerpiece.
