Piggybacking - Easy Steps to a 48-hour Day

Task management for moms is vastly different from task management for other professionals.
We have to develop our minds to see little pockets of opportunity and take full advantage of them.
When we take a minute to use the bathroom, we can wipe off the counter after we wash our hands.
When we walk through the living room, we can pick up four toys on our way.
When we clean off the dining room table, we can bag up the trash as well.
We can take multitasking to an entirely new level, making it look more like an art form than a coping mechanism.
You can easily double or triple your accomplishments when you learn how to piggyback your tasks.
Make it a game to see how much you can complete in one singular effort by doing two or three tasks on the way to accomplishing another.
For example, as you pick up toys in the living room, why not de-clutter a bit by tossing some in a bag to give away to charity? When you fill up your vehicle with gas, why not collect some trash from the car and throw it away while you're at the station? Everyone has a to-do list somewhere.
Start looking over your list and see how many tasks you can piggyback.
Can you pick up the weekly groceries on your way to take a child to a music lesson? Can you prepare those cookies for the class party while you are making a casserole for dinner? And since you are already making a casserole, can you go ahead and make two more and freeze them for later? Start looking for opportunities to piggyback and make the best use of those little pockets of time available to you throughout the day.
