There is large number of people trying to get into the health care profession through the certified nursing assistant certification. The reason could be this that the certification has a few weeks training that make you capable to appear in the exam. Once you pass the exam, you get the certification which allows you to start working as a certified nursing assistant. The newly certified nursing assistants get an attractive hourly pay rate which usually starts from $10. The training duration is different in different states as per its rules and requirements. There is a regular training based on 11 components. The online training classes are more flexible. If you are currently working and you want to take the online training, you can access them through your work place and also from home as well without any class timing restrictions.

If you are not able to pay the fee then you can join the nursing homes. There are some nursing homes which are providing training services for nursing assistants. Students spend some time in the class room and also in the wards where they help the patients under the super vision of trainers or the senior staff. The trainers in the nursing homes also conduct the CNA practice test so that the students become familiar with the final exam. After finishing the training and passing the exam, students are rewarded by a certificate so they can start working as Certified Nursing Assistants. The nursing homes will hire them so they can earn money and also pay back the tuition fee.

The certified nursing assistants face the heavy workload. The heavy workload includes physical demands for example standing for long time and also walking while attending more than one patient. The certified nursing assistant should also learn and practice the accurate procedures to lift and move up a patient while moving them in and out from their beds. This will be helpful for their safety as well. The certified nursing assistants work 40 hours a week in revolving shifts. Shifts include morning, evening and even nights including the weekends. They work 5 days a week and shift lasts up to 8 hours.
