Regardless of current economic conditions, the Health Care Nursing Jobs industry continues to be at the top of the "recession proof jobs" list.
While other large sectors of the economy are flagging or failing, requiring companies to adopt hiring freezes or lay off employees, the Health Care Jobs industry remains strong providing a job market where number of openings continues to outweigh the number of qualified applicants.
As the Boomer generation continues to age the demand for quality Health Care Jobs increases.
Add to this the many current Nursing Jobs employees reaching retirement age and you can see why the demand for Health Care Nursing Jobs employees persists.
And there is no end in sight.
A recent Bureau of Labor Statistics report cited that the health industry added over 380,000 jobs in 2007 before the recession began.
In 2008 an additional 372,000 jobs were added.
Include the gains in 2009 and one can see that even in the depths of the recession, which began in December of 2007, more than half a million jobs have been added in the Health Care Nursing Jobs sector.
December 2009 alone saw an increase of over 21,000 positions.
Not only is there great demand for qualified health workers, but this type of employment offers the some of the best career opportunities and greatest job security to be found anywhere.
With such demand to fill these positions, companies are going to great lengths to acquire and keep qualified and skilled employees.
With only a few years of college education within a Health field, jobs are not hard to find and promising careers abound.
