Over the years Network Marketing has been given a bad name because people have been told to contact their friends and family first.
If you've been in more than one company chances are you've already contacted your friends and family several times to join you and have burned a few bridges in the process.
For this reason people have chosen to go with lead generation companies.
These are companies that find prospects for you and sell them to you at a low rate.
There are several advantages to using a lead generation company over building your business the traditional way: First, it's more consistent than contacting your friends and family.
When you purchase leads you get to choose how many leads you get it and how frequent you get them.
This allows more control over your business.
If you contact your friends and family sooner or later you will run out of people to contact.
Next, it's something you can teach your downline and other people that you sponsor to do.
Most people fear contacting their friends and family about an opportunity and some people are even embarrassed to tell people they're in this business.

Work within your budget and try to get a good mix of both new and old leads.
How many Times Was This Lead Sold? Sometimes companies sell leads one, two or even three times.
This means a person could have been contacted many times before you by many different people.
By the time you reach them they're ready to shred you apart.
Your leads maybe sold to other companies outside of yours which means you'll be facing a lot of competition.
Was the Lead Given Incentives? Incentives are gifts for opting into a form and giving your information.
Normally, people who sign up for incentives aren't looking for an opportunity but looking to get something for free instead.
You can always ask a company as they used incentive to generate their leads.
Most companies will tell you the answer.
The lead business is kind of tricky.
It's hard to tell which company is better or worse because people are all different.
Regardless of how the leads are generated chances are things have changed from the time they signed up for the information and the time you called them.
It's up to you to find common ground and fill that gap between what you offer and what they're looking for.
Working leads takes time and more importantly it takes patience.
