Nothing is more annoying on a trip than a car full of trash.
Take 5 minutes and empty out any old newspapers, cups, mail, etc.

Okay, you're no auto mechanic but you can look for loose wires, low fluids or anything that just doesn't look right. - Check tire pressure.
Get an inexpensive tire gauge and check your tires.
