At minimal it can be a risky course of action since the heavy weight on the synthetic joint can cause complications. The danger here is the heavy load on the artificial joint may cause it to get unstable.

High blood pressure is a very common occurance among those that are obese. The problem with having so much weight is it drastically strains the entire body. All of the body fat that is found is living tissue, and therefore it needs vital oxygen along with other nutritional needs. The net impact is to put a terrific strain on the heart due to the needs of the excess fat tissue. The simple net effect is to create a condition of higher blood pressure.
