If you're in the process of planning your wedding, and want to use the colors pink and orange to decorate the surroundings for your ceremony and reception, there are a number of ideas that you can try to make your decor especially eye-catching. Pink and orange are colors that are traditionally used for spring and summer weddings, but there are also some decorating tips using variations of these shades that you may want to incorporate into your fall or winter ceremony. - Pink or orange flowers, or specialty flowers with both orange and pink petals, can be used for the bride's bouquet, and orange or pink petals can be given to the flower girls to decorate the aisle. For a wedding in months where the weather is especially sunny, the bride may want to carry a bouquet of orange roses--orange roses signify desire and enthusiasm.
You can also use flowers to decorate the ends of the aisles in the wedding chapel; alternating pink and orange flowers throughout the church well make the scenery inviting and colorful. The mothers of the bride and groom can also walk down the aisle with a pink or orange rose or tulip, or can be given a corsage that features one or both of these hues.
For the reception, images of orange tulips can be painted in the center of each tablecloth, and the petals of pink roses, tulips, and carnations can fill cylindrical vases in the center of each table. If you're planning on having your wedding during the fall or winter months, and want to use the colors orange and pink in your decorating color scheme, tulips in a deep orange color can be given to the bridesmaids to walk down the aisle with, in single or bouquet form.
The bride's bouquet can feature pink roses, since pink roses are a symbol of grace and perfect happiness--two sentiments the bride will definitely want to display on her special day. - Choosing fabrics with a deep or especially bright pink or orange hue can help to make your desired wedding decor come together. For instance, long strips of pink fabric can be used to drape across the ceiling at the reception hall, intertwined with orange fabric accents. Or, the seat covers in the reception or ceremony location can be pink or orange silk or cotton, with a ribbon tied around the chair in the alternating color.
Orange or pink tulle would also look good wrapped around the altar that you will exchange your vows under, or woven into the open spaces of the altar. Wrapping tulle in shades of orange such as peach or tangerine around the pillars that decorate the wedding or reception site may also make the setting look more festive. - It is common to use darker shades or orange and pink for weddings that take place when the weather is colder, so incorporating pumpkin or pomegranate into the decor for the reception is ideal. A horn of plenty, with the aforementioned fruits inside, can serve as the centerpiece for the guest's table or as the centerpiece for the table where food will be served.
If the wedding or reception will take place during evening hours, orange and pink candles can decorate the aisle for the ceremony, or be centered around orange and pinks at the reception tables. Pink and orange fruits can decorate the tables at the wedding reception as well.
For ceremonies in the spring and summer, citrus fruits like tangerines and grapefruits can be featured in a large glass vase on the table, with an orange or pink tulle ribbon tied around the vase. Fruits like mango and papaya will enhance the orange decorations at the reception, and compliment the pink accents.
The fruit can also be candied, cut into small strips, and placed in a decorative dish, so that the guests can enjoy an edible centerpiece before the meal is served.
