Locate the Hex wrench that came with the treadmill. This is a metal device, shaped like an "L" which has an octagonal shaped end. If you don't have the one that came with the treadmill, you can buy one at any home improvement store, you will just have to find the correct size that fits your treadmill.

Next locate the adjustment screws on the treadmill, they are usually located at the very end of the treadmill (the belt runs in this direction when the treadmill is operational).

    • 3). Decide which way the belt needs to go in order to be recentered.

    • 4). Pick one adjustment screw to adjust. It doesn't really matter which one you choose. But only adjust one. Otherwise, you may be working against yourself by unadjusting what you have already readjusted.

    • 5). Insert the hex wrench into the screw and turn it the direction that the belt needs to go it.

    • 6). Take the wrench out and turn the treadmill on for a few second. You will notice the belt has moved in one direction or the other.

    • 7). Stop the treadmill. If the belt moved in the correct direction, then repeat step 5 and 6 until the belt is perfectly centered.

If the belt moved the wrong direction in step 6, then you know that you need to turn the hex wrench in the opposite direction.

    • 8). Keep making the necessary adjustments until the treadmill belt is perfectly centered.
