Nourishing Night Cream Products - Why Most Are Not Effective

When I look at most nourishing night cream products on the market today, I notice a few problems with them.
For one, I notice most of them lack certain types of ingredients needed to fight the skin aging process.
And second, I notice ingredients being used that are more harmful than helpful for the skin.
It's amazing how some nourishing night cream products contain ingredients like parabens and certain kinds of alcohols, which for the most part come with more negative characteristics than positive ones.
Parabens are only used to preserve the shelf-life of a product, but they may cause cancer, interfere with the body's endocrine system, and cause allergic reactions and rashes.
Alcohols like ethanol, ethyl alcohol, methanol, benzyl alcohol, and isopropyl alcohol are very dry and irritating for the skin and can even promote brown spots and premature aging.
They strip away the natural acid mantle of the skin, which makes it more vulnerable to bacteria and viruses.
These are mostly used along with other ingredients to stabilize the overall formula of a skin product.
Most nourishing night cream products also fail to include key ingredients that are essential to not only improve the youthfulness of skin, but to prevent further aging as well.
For example, collagen and elastin are the critical structural proteins in your skin that keep it firm, tight, and elastic.
As you get older, your skin cannot produce as much of these important proteins.
A nourishing night cream should contain ingredients that stimulate the natural production of these proteins if you want any chance of eliminating fine lines and wrinkles.
Another important characteristic of youthful skin is an abundance of hyaluronic acid.
This is a substance in your skin that's responsible for retaining moisture, and it also plays a vital role in cell proliferation, tissue repair and healing.
To stop it's degradation, a nourishing night cream should also contain an ingredients that stop the activity of hyaluronidase, a bodily enzyme that continually breaks down hyaluronic acid.
The third necessary element in any anti-aging product is antioxidants.
They are the primary means of defense for your skin, as they fight off free radicals before make your cells unstable.
And just like collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, natural antioxidant levels diminish as you get older, so using nourishing night cream products containing antioxidants will help restore them to optimal levels.
