What You Need For Jumping Castles At Your Event

When events are organised for children, organisers often include jumping castles because all children seem to love playing in them. You can get these fun items in all different colours and decorated with various characters such as Dora the Explorer, Disney cars, Princess, Toy Story characters and so on that the children love.

When you hire a castle you will find that it is essential to provide a supervisor over the age of 18 at all times so that the children are safe. Often, little ones get on, then fall over and can't get up and so get frightened and this cannot be allowed to continue. Only an adult will be able to stop the children jumping while they rescue the child. The children take notice of an authority figure and do what they are told. If you cannot provide a supervisor you will need to hire one from the company.

A supervisor not only keeps the children, but the castle safe as well. It is only made of plastic after all, even though the plastic is strong. If people that are too heavy jump on it, it is likely to get a hole and be ruined. If you want to provide your own supervisor, you will need to choose at least two people in case one cannot come at the last moment. If the event is to go on all day, you will need to have several people to work shifts. These people will be given the necessary training by the hire company so they know what to do.

The jumping castle hire price is quite reasonable when you consider all the effort that goes into putting it up.  They are quite heavy and require some strong people to place them into position and pump them up. They should be within 30 metres of a 240 volt power point if possible; if not, a heavy extension lead can be used for the added distance or a generator – hired from the castle company - can be used.

Inflatable castles can go on grass or any hard, smooth surface; however, if your location is not grass you need to let the hire company know because they will need to bring a different set-up to secure the castle instead of the pegs they use in soft ground.

Once the castle is secured properly it will be safe from being blown about should a strong wind blow up. The last thing you would want to see is the thing bowling through the park or getting ripped to shreds in the treetops.
