Mini Maglite LED Conversions

Today it is very simple for one to convert a Maglite Mini from using incandescent bulbs to one that uses LED bulbs.
A quick search online and you will be astounded at the number of companies who now offer to you Maglite Mini LED conversion kits.
Not only are these kits relatively inexpensive to purchase in some cases costing as little as $5.
You will also find that they help to reduce the amount of money spent on batteries to help power them.
By fitting your Maglite Mini with LED bulbs will extend the life span of your battery by as much as four times as long.
Plus when it comes to LED bulbs these will tend to last for up to 100,000 hours of them being used.
One kit that is worth considering purchasing that allows you to convert your current Mini Maglite to LED is that produced by Nite Ize.
The task of replacing the current incandescent bulb with the LED bulb in this kit is very simple to do.
First off you take off the current reflector on your flashlight and replace it with the new one provided in this conversion kit.
Next you take out the current incandescent bulb and insert the new LED ones.
All you now need to do is screw the head back on to the flashlight and you are ready to use it once more.
Immediately on turning the flashlight on you will see a great improvement in the amount of light produced by the converted Maglite Mini.
This is because the unit contains 3 LED bulbs rather than just one incandescent one so flooding the area that you wish to view with a great deal more light.
However, you need to be aware that if you intend to use a conversion kit rather than purchasing a new Mini Maglite LED flashlight the spot light feature won't work anymore.
So if you need a flashlight that is able to pinpoint a particular spot that you need to be working on at close quarters this is something that you will not be able to do.
Another problem to consider when deciding whether to purchase a brand new Mini Maglite LED flashlight instead of a conversion kit is that they bulbs in the kits tend to give off a blue hue.
So of course again they won't really help to make what you are looking at as well defined as you would hope.
