    • 1). Research the historical time line of Egyptian pyramids. They were built along the Nile valley during a 400-year era that lasted from approximately 2600 B.C. to 2200 B.C. Learn the different architectural styles of pyramids so that you know them by name and recognize them in pictures.

    • 2). Familiarize yourself with the story of each pyramid. Pyramids were built as final resting places for Egyptian kings and queens. Some stood in complexes that included other temples and gardens. Get to know the ruler associated with each monument. Learn how the ruler's philosophical beliefs and how they influenced the pyramid design.

    • 3). Research the interior layouts of pyramids and discover their functions. Study Egyptian burial customs and beliefs. Examine pictures of artifacts found in burial chambers. Familiarize yourself with implements found in burial chambers, and know why they were buried with the deceased.

    • 4). Synthesize your research into a report that includes information about several pyramids that interest you the most. Compile a multimedia slide show presentation of your research that includes print or audio narrative. Also include diagrams, photographs of pyramid exteriors and interiors. At the end of your slide show include links to print and electronic resources that you used to compile your report.
