6 Low Carb Tomato Recipes

It's the end of the summer season here in New England and maybe like me, your garden is still producing a harvest of tomatoes. If so these 6 recipes will be just what you need to use them up before they perish. If you don't have a garden never fear just go ahead to your local market and make these recipes, you will be glad you did!

Fresh tomatoes provide the perfect amount of natural sweetness when baked. No sugar is added to any of these recipes yet they all taste positively sweet! You might be thinking, " I can't have any sugar, even natural ones, I'm on a sugar free diet." But there is a big difference between natural sugars like in milk which is called lactose and in vegetables and even fruits that are complex carbohydrates. For me neither of these ntaurally made sugars cause me to crave sweets. You may need to limit how many carbs per day is good and healthy for your body and portion control is of course key, but overall vegetables and some fruits on occassion can be included without issue on a sugar free diet. If you are having issues with cravings double check you aren't getting in unwanted hidden added sugars so be sure you are checking food labels when buying packaged products.

I can't think of a better way then to end the summer season using up a delicious succulent food like tomatoes. If I were into canning I'd do that too but alas too much work for me! These recipes are quick, easy and picky family approved and tested!
