Once upon a time, this question was asked to children alone. In this modern time, even adults could use being asked a simple yet thought-provoking question- What do you want to be when you grow up? Four decades back, people were set on one job to stick to it until retirement. Now is an entirely different story. When asked this same question, Stan Lee, former Chairman and President of Marvel Comics who is 91 years old laughed and answered, €"good question, because I'm not done yet.€

When children grow up, they typically want to be:
4. Secret Agent
3. Doctor
2. Astronaut
1. Veterinarian

When you think about these answers, it points to one thing. The rewards of helping others remain on the top of the categories for choosing a career path. This resulted from their personal experience of getting help from others, knowing the good feeling; they also want to pass it on.

The Internet has paved the way to learning more and learning everything efficiently. Thus, a lot of adults now take on pursuing the things that remain to be childhood dreams. Cooking, sewing, designing, even formal courses like computer programming can be availed through the Internet through online education or lectures on iTunes and other programs.

Another way to inspire personal growth is through having a mentor to guide you throughout your journey to success in all the aspects of your life - from personal, professional, business, and balancing is all together. Some people immediately look up to older family for mentorship, usually their moms or dads who were able to raise them well while attending to a fruitful career and prosperous business.

When looking for mentorship, it is crucial to know the difference between a mentor and a coach. A coach is someone who's excellent at teaching and specializes on an industry or niche, but may still not qualify to become a mentor. While the latter, takes pride in his success in living a well-rounded life with everything from good family relations, amazing health, successful business, and growth. What better way to motivate yourself, than by following the lead of people who have been there and done things with flying colors - people who you would want to emulate?

But before you get busy looking far and wide, be sure that you are ready to face one when you meet one. You should already have the answers to basic and most possible questions. What do you want in life? Mentors can help you arrive with the right answers if you are still at a crossroad, and will tell you facts on life and entrepreneurship. What good mentors would require from you is you have to make sure to give something back, and it doesn't have to be money. Honor them and their role in your life through your own growth.
