    • 1). Leave hair down and increase body for a casual look. To create more volume in your hair, wash and condition hair as usual and pat dry with a towel. Apply a volumizing spray or mousse with your hands, running them through your hair, concentrating at the roots. Blow dry, and use a round brush to lift hair from the roots, creating more volume.

    • 2). Style your hair in a bun or ponytail. For a sleek style, brush back your hair with a paddle brush to the back of the head and secure with a hair band. For a bun, twist the ponytail completely, and wind it around the hair band in a clockwise fashion. Secure the bun to your head with bobby pins.

    • 3). Pull back hair with a headband. For a simple style, a headband gets hair out of your face and takes only seconds to create. Brush the hair and part as desired. Put the headband onto your head and push slightly back to secure hair out of your face. Use a jeweled headband for more formal occasions.

    • 4). Cut layers into the hair for a face framing look. Whether you want subtle layers around your face or choppy bangs, ask your stylist to incorporate various lengths to the front of your hair. Once you have layers, you can flip them up with a curling iron for a wispy look or flatten with a straightener for a sleek style.
