How to Move the Task Bar Position

    • 1). Locate your Task Bar. By default, the Windows task bar is at the bottom of the screen. If you don't see the task bar, it may be set to auto-hide. Try moving the mouse cursor down to the bottom of the screen, which should cause it to pop up.

    • 2). Move your mouse cursor to an empty spot on the Task Bar. Click and hold the left mouse button. Drag the Task Bar to the left side, the right side, or the top of the screen. Release the left mouse button.

    • 3). Take a look at the new Task Bar position. If you don't like it, drag it to another side of the screen.

    • 4). Right-click on the Task Bar. Select "Properties" from the drop-down menu. This will open the Task Bar and Start Menu Property screen.

    • 5). Review the options in the "Taskbar" tab. Decide what task bar display options you want, such as whether or not to auto-hide the Task Bar, or whether to keep the task bar on top of other screens.
