How to Clean Oil Bronze Faucets
- 1). Dampen a flannel cloth with cold water and wring it out. Wipe the oil-rubbed bronze faucet with the cloth to remove light dirt and buildup. For tough stains, mix 1 cup of white vinegar and 1 teaspoon of salt in a container with a spoon. Add flour and stir until a paste forms.
- 2). Apply the paste to the faucet and allow it to sit until the paste dries completely. The drying time can take up to one hour.
- 3). Rinse the faucet with warm water to remove all of the paste. Wipe the faucet with a flannel cloth.
- 4). Dip a flannel cloth into liquid or paste wax and apply a thin layer to the oil-rubbed bronze. Allow the wax to sit for 10 minutes.
- 5). Buff away the wax with a clean flannel cloth.
