Trail Day

• Take your party group for a hike through Yankton's Meridian Trails System. Start in the early morning for a sunny head start, or go later in the day to catch the sunset. All the city trails are paved and well-lit. At the end of the bike ride or hike on the trails, stop in at a downtown restaurant for a celebratory lunch or dinner. Follow the walk and dinner with an after-dinner party and drinks or coffee at your home.
  
  

River Day & Camping Party

• The Missouri National Recreational River is a national park that runs through Yankton. Spend a day canoeing or sailing on the river with your graduating best friends. After a day on the water, round out the party with camping at night. The National Park Service in Yankton operates campgrounds inside the park, such as Bow Creek Recreation Area. Other partner sites outside of the park, such as Clay County Park State Recreation Area, offer electrical hook-ups.
  
  

Wine Excursion & Party

• Host a wine excursion followed by a wine tasting party. For a college grad party, Invite a group of your best school friends --- 21 and over --- to accompany you to a winery within 45 miles of Yankton. Wineries in the area include Nissen Wines, Birdsong Vineyards, Cuthills Vineyards, White Headed Robin Winery, Valiant Vineyards and Buffalo Run Winery. Enjoy the countryside, shopping, sites and area restaurants. Back home or at your hotel, have a wine tasting party with your college grad friends.
  
  

Dinner Out

• Plan a huge dinner party at a local Yankton restaurant. Invite a large group of friends to The Historic Argo Hotel Steakhouse & Lounge. The Argo offers an intimate, fireside dining setting for groups of up to 60 guests. For smaller groups, reserve a table at Magilly's Lakeside Eatery, which hosts parties and events. Order a preset menu and, if you're all of age, arrange for an open bar for your group. Decorate the restaurant with school or graduation photos and other high school or college memorabilia.
