A company's 20th anniversary is a milestone, and you may want to make the occasion special by giving your manager or employees a gift that's not only sentimental, but also useful for the continuation of the company's success. When you're deciding on what type of gift to give, think about the needs of the company and look for a gift that meets them. Another way to get inspiration for a gift is by getting together with coworkers to see what they would suggest. - If you heard your manager say that he needs to update his computer's software programs, you can surprise him by having all of the employees pitch in to purchase the new versions of the software programs he needs. You can find good bargains for the software at stores such as Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Radio Shack or Office Depot. Also present him with a gift bag filled with blank CDs, ink pens, a scheduler and the following year's calendar.
- Another way to commemorate the anniversary is by getting together with your coworkers to each purchase a gift card in the amount they choose from a retailer that the recipient doesn't often visit but may be interested in based on his personal interests. Along with the gift card, each coworker should include a personalized gift or note, to make the package more memorable.
- If you want to give your manager a lasting reminder of the company's most significant successes over the years, create an anniversary scrapbook. Ask some of your coworkers to send any photos they have from previous company celebrations and let them write thank-you notes to the manager on various pages of the scrapbook. Also draw some sketches of office-related things such as tables, desks, coffee mugs or people in suits.
