How to Make a Vintage Brooch Bouquet
- 1). Lay out all of the brooches on a clean, flat surface. Choose a few special brooches for the project unless you plan to use all of them. Separate the floral brooches from other types. Set the floral brooches aside for later.
- 2). Cut two felt leaves for each of the non-floral brooches. Make each leaf about 2 inches long and 1 to 1 1/2 inches wide.
- 3). Lay two leaves on your work surface with the bottom ends touching. Spread hot glue over the ends, open a brooch and press the center, back of the brooch against the leaves. Hold for a few seconds, turn the brooch over and insert the pin back through the felt then close the brooch. Repeat for each non-floral brooch.
- 4). Cut one piece of floral wire for each brooch. Make each piece about 10 inches long.
- 5). Wrap one end of one wire around the brooch pin to secure the wire to the brooch. Press a piece of floral tape over the top of the wire connection and wrap the tape down the length of the wire stem. Repeat for each of the floral and leaf adorned brooches.
- 6). Hold all of the stems together in your hand and slide the stems into the vase.
