How to Make Things Out of School Supplies
- 1). Hook up a pencil man. Lay a pencil in front of you the long way, with the eraser at the top and tip at the bottom. Attach a crayon with rubber bands across the pencil, about one-third of the way down from the pencil's top. Cut out a round piece of cardboard, a little bigger than a quarter. Draw a face on one side of the cardboard with permanent markers and glue the other side of the cardboard to the top of the pencil, keeping the face facing forward. Allow to dry.
- 2). Make a mouse. Place a pink eraser in front of you with any writing on it face down. Unbend a paperclip and stick one end in glue and then into the back of the eraser. Draw two eyes, a nose and little triangle teeth at the other end of the eraser.
- 3). Create a ruler snake. Place a ruler in front of you with the blank side up. Use permanent marker to draw two wavy lines, one right next to the other, down the length of the ruler. Connect one end of the lines with a rounded line and the other end with a triangular shape. Draw two eyes near the triangular shape, and you have your basic snake. Color him with permanent markers as desired.
- 4). Make a scissor bird. Cut out two rounded pieces of cardboard the same size and shape as the scissor handles. Draw a dot in the middle of each piece for an eyeball. Glue the back of each piece to the scissor handles. The scissors' blades are the bird beak, and you've got yourself a bird.
