Job fairs, trade shows offer opportunities to distribute personalized items
For a business or organization, advertising your company could become an expensive task. You may not have money to pay for commercials or to place an ad in the newspaper. However, you can still advertise your services for a relatively low price, and still get the word out to the masses, by distributing custom office supplies. These supplies include ink pens, promotional t-shirts, and even bags. They oftentimes come in bulk (usually a minimum of 25 per order), but sell for as low as 20 cents per unit, and maybe even less. Below are a few events where your business can make itself known, all by handing out office supplies.
Job Fair
Usually a job fair includes dozens, maybe even hundreds of various other companies, many of which offer the same services. Your business can hand out quite a few personalized gifts, such as a stress relief ball or refrigerator magnet, containing the company name and contact information. However, an ink pen is an even more basic way to spread the word, as a prospective applicant will likely use it far more often. Not only does it briefly describe what you have to offer, but even if an applicant does not qualify for the advertised position, he or she may still keep you in mind and keep in touch, or even pass some information along to a friend or relative.
Trade Shows
Like with a job fair, trade shows offer many similar opportunities. One major difference is that those who attend are likely learning more about the organizationâEUR(TM)s services, and are not necessarily looking for a job. Therefore, handing out custom items might work more for giveaways. Many set up booths offering keychains or ink pens, along with videos describing what the company offers.
Schools
By selling or giving away custom school supplies to students, you not only spread the word, but also promote school spirit amongst those who attend. In addition to pencils, you can also offer things like calculators, bags, or even cups in the official colors, and adorned with the school logo and mascot. By instilling a little extra pride, you never know how much extra inspiration students may receive from your companyâEUR(TM)s custom items.
The Office
This may seem like a pretty obvious choice, but might not hit you at all. However, offering supplies within your own building is another way to not only spread the word yourself, but it also allows your customers to do the same. Anytime a customer goes out in a shirt with your company logo, or uses an ink pen with the name printed, they could very well pique someone elseâEUR(TM)s curiosity, and spark a little conversation on what your business offers.
