Deep Meditation Techniques For An Extra Deep Meditative Experience

Once they've meditated a few times, a lot of people decide that they want to explore deep meditation techniques to help make their meditation experience even better.
Here are a few ideas to deepen your meditation.
Add some props to your room Burning incense or scented candles is a good way to heighten your meditation experience.
You can choose the scent so that it's one that you personally get on with - it would be fairly pointless to pick a smell that you hated, after all - and use the aroma as one of the focus points for your meditation.
Add in deep breathing Not all meditation techniques focus on breathing but it is perfectly OK to add in deep breathing to your meditation routine.
The act of taking deep breaths will help to send your body into a deeper state of relaxation which will, in turn, heighten your experience.
Make yourself comfortable It's all well and good choosing a classic meditation position such as sitting cross legged in the traditional lotus position but if you find that you're spending more time fidgeting and trying to make yourself comfortable and less time actually concentrating on the focus of your meditation then it's probably time to reconsider.
There's nothing wrong with being comfortable - nothing says that meditating has to be an unpleasant experience to work properly - and it's likely that not having to concentrate on how your body is reacting to how you are sitting will enhance your experience.
Clear out the clutter The ambiance or energy of the room that you choose to meditate in will have an effect on how deeply you can go in that session.
If you've ever been somewhere where you feel uncomfortable but can't pinpoint the reason why, you'll know that different places exude different energies.
Make sure that your environment is relatively uncluttered.
You don't have to go down the whole Feng Shui route unless that's something that interests you but having a tidy space in which to meditate will help keep the energy of the room calm and in turn this will help take you to a deeper place when you next meditate.
Maybe play some music or natural sounds This one is a matter of personal preference but a lot of people find that playing either music or a natural sounds track in the background helps to mask out unwanted external noises and helps to deepen their experience.
