Elect Both Candidates?

Recently, the upcoming elections have been a hot topic on message boards I belong to.
I came across this one, among several other ones, that promote one party over the other, ad nauseum.
After reading and thought, I responded.
The original post was this, "Complain about the GOP all you want but the Dems.
have a worse kind of contempt for poor people because they have no great urge to help them out of their poverty...
" To find answers to some of the questions etc.
, lets begin at the very beginning of the USA.
So what has changed since the first settlers landed here? We are also a country who has taken advantage of the "poor" since before the country was officially a country.
The settlers viewed the Indian tribes as "savages" because they did not understand or agree with their way of life.
The settlers viewed themselves as "civilized" and that put the Indians into the "heathen" category.
So they busily went about reforming the tribes, and anyone who is familiar with history knows what happened next.
I am not seeing much has changed with that group of "poor" people, except we provided them with plenty of firewater, we put them on reservations and bought them off with casinos.
Now fast forward...
get the picture? No matter which candidate is elected, what exactly is going to change? There will always be poor, there will always be a middle class and there will always be folks who have figured out how to be rich.
There will always be smart folks trying to take advantage of the not so smart ones.
There will always be organized religions who will present the "truth" as they see it.
(One person's truth is another persons lie.
) Before anyone gets offended, just think about it for a minute...
and PLEASE do your research.
Can anyone explain why the Gospel of Mary or Thomas in NOT included in the bible? Both were written in codex.
Why were they not included? The reason I bring it up is that no matter WHAT the issue, one group of people has been trying to control/persuade another since life itself began.
In addition, for you of the religious world, I have meditated on this issue for a very long time.
The only thoughts I can come up with is that these books were not included because they were not conducive to the spin the church was putting on the information they were providing.
Not to open another assortment of problems, but let me make some statements on: Equality of the sexes.
At the most basic level, man CANNOT survive without woman, and likewise, woman CANNOT survive without man.
We can also carry this forward to the racial issue.
Humans by nature are pack animals, we can fight about it until we are out of breath, but in reality, we need each other to survive.
Genetic diversity has been proven by science as thus far the best way to ensure the survival of our species.
As for the rest of the issues, I firmly believe these were created by HUMANS.
HUMANS have brought these issues upon themselves.
GOD provided us each with freewill, equally.
One final thought, I have not spoken to ONE SINGLE person who has not been affected by human suffering, in some way, shape or form.
Isn't this really, what we are asking of the candidates, how will they "fix" it? How will they end the suffering of the poverty-stricken? How will they fix the war? How will they fix social injustice? To be honest, I still don't think that any human is going to able to fix any of this, Republican, Democratic, or Independent.
Perhaps we should elect BOTH of them? (Based on the idea that two heads are better than one?)
