    • 1). Cut a piece of thin cardboard into a strip that is 1.5 inches wide by 8 inches long.

    • 2). Peel the backing off two address labels and attach them to the cardboard, 1/2 inch from each end.

    • 3). Write your phone number beneath the address labels.

    • 4). Cover the strip of cardboard with shipping tape on both sides; this will make your luggage tag waterproof.

    • 5). Fold the luggage tag in half so that your address labels are facing outward on both sides.

    • 6). Slip the tag around the handle of your suitcase or duffel bag and secure it in place with another piece of shipping tape.
