Blogging - How to Create Tons of Free Traffic With Your Blog
What is a Blog? It is in simple terms a journal or newsletter normally updated and intended for frequent reading.
It can also be referred to as a personal online diary.
It is also an extremely effective way of generating boundless leads and traffic to your website.
Blogging is generally written from the blogger's own personal world from their specific experiences and expertise.
Sharing their ideas and thoughts with their own perspective to a regular readership or customers.
Subject matter is as varied as personal taste.
There are three components to an efficient blog.
#1 The first component: It is important to realise the true attraction to any blog is the author, You.
It is your words, your opinions and your expertise that is going to matter.
What you say, how you say it and how often are the key aspects to creating tons of traffic.
It is especially important to note that the value of what you say is the 'honey' and the reason for customers frequenting your blog, because without you their would not be a blog! So by providing valuable content and timely information or an expert opinion will bring traffic to your blog.
Giving away your thoughts and ideas for others to find value from increases your value and attracts more readers and customers and builds regular traffic to your blog.
This brings me to the second component.
#2 The second Component: Now that we understand the importance of your contribution to the blog, the second part of this equation is the Customer.
What you say to your customers and the VALUE your customer receives will increase your traffic.
Your customer must feel engaged with your opinion and be given the opportunity to learn something they did not know before, and that the information is going to be beneficially useful to them.
Buyers or customers must see real value and care about what you say.
You must build a relationship with your customers.
#3 The third component: What do you sell? Firstly we've established you must sell yourself, your expert opinion, your leadership because without this your customers will not purchase your product or anything else for that matter.
The third component has two equally important pieces of this equation.
Number one, You sell space on your blog to advertisers because they will pay you to gain access to your millions of readers and number two you sell a product or merchandise that your targeted customers, your readers, are happy to buy from you because of the relationship you have built with them, and they see you as a leader.
Once these components are understood then the next step in the process is to determind what theme your blog is going to have.
What is it that you can share with people who will see a reason in your content to stay connected to you.
What is it that you love, what can you share that will bring people back to you read your thoughts and expert opinions.
The answers to these questions will come from your ability to ask yourself questions like, "what do I like?" "what do I want to know?" "what special skills do I possess?" Asking yourself these questions will assist you in discovering your 'theme' A certain amount of research on your part is crucial to seek the right theme for your blog.
Look into different categories, be thorough.
Once you have determined the theme of your blog, creating a platform to launch or host your blog from is the next step.
When it comes to blogging there are many online providers who will gladly host your blog.
This will be the subject of my next article, that and how to brand yourself as a leader in your area of expertise.
