- 1). Select an accredited online high school with an adult program. Employers generally prefer schools that are regionally accredited. A regionally accredited school is reviewed by an accrediting agency that evaluates the school's programs, educational strategies and quality to ensure it provides proper standards of education.
- 2). Ask the school if it has an accelerated adult program, which allows you to earn your degree while working full-time. Inquire about the methods of support provided to students and what your workload will be.
- 3). Determine how you will pay for your tuition. Depending on your state's regulations, you may qualify for free tuition at an online charter high school.
