With everybody's extremely busy lifestyles I often wonder why there are still people out there who want to learn to cook, as so many of us will phone the local takeaway or venture through the drive through while sitting in our cars, I find cooking to be very therapeutic, believe it or not, I find it so relaxing, enjoyable and fun, kids love it to, I have heard that here in the uk, schools are going to be reintroduced to cooking lessons, which used to happen when I was at school, I never did get to cook at school as these lessons were quickly phased out, so all the girls joined us boys in a woodwork lesson, amazing!

Learning the cooking basics will help save you a lot of time and free you from any stress related headaches€¦

I have included the following 15 as a tiny amount of cooking tips that you will want to integrate into your everyday life and different situations thaqt you may face yourself in when it comes to cooking, also saving you huge amounts of time and money.
1. When cooking Bacon, run the slices under a cold tap before frying, this reduces shrinkage
2. Stop your farting, by adding a tablespoon of Sodium Bicarbonate to a big pot of beans while they are soaking
3. Boiled Eggs: Add a little vinegar to the water, this stops eggs from leaking in to the water if cracks in the shells should start to appear, this is extremely effective.
4. When ripening fruits & vegetables: Place these in a brown paper bag for a few days, then place in a dark cupboard, this saves you a lot of money ripening your own fruits as these are often sold a lot cheaper, due to the fact that they need ripening before eating.
5. Salads and your lettuce: Cut your lettuce into wedges instead of tearing, which saves you a ton of time when preparing a salad
6. Spaghetti Sauce: Had a touch of Sodium Bicarb to the sauce as this lowers the acid taste from the tomatoes.
7. When Cooking Corn: Place the corn directly into the boiling water, and never add salt, do not boil for more than 3 minutes as this starts to make the corn tasteless
8. Frozen Veggies: When you find they are stuck together, do not panic, simply run boiling water over them to separate.
9. Grating Cheese: Always freeze the cheese for 25 minutes before grating, this will make grating much, much easier.
10. Pancakes Not Brown?: Add a small amount of sugar to ytour pancakes, the sugar caramelises and your pancakes will look nice and brown much, much quicker
11. Pie Pastry: Try substituting one teaspoon of vinegar for one spoon of cold water which is called for in the recipe, and your pasdtry will come out much flakier
12. Speed Up Your Sauces: Always use condensed soups such as cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, cream of tomato etc, etc this will alow you to make your sauces a hell of a lot faster.
13. Tenderise That Meat: Vinegar can be used as a meat tenderiser, simply add a tablespoon to the water when boiling a joint of meat or ribs for stews, this tip alone will help you to tenderise the world most toughest meat, Guaranteed!!!
14. Are Your Vegetables Wilted?: Simply soak the wilted vegetables in two cups of water, add one tablespoon of vinegar, this will help bring them back to life.
15. When cooking food on wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes, this will stop them from burning
