One mistake many dieters make is guessing the weight of the food they are eating rather than weighing and measuring it exactly.
  It may seem annoying at first but once you get into the habit of doing it it becomes part of your routine without having to give it a second thought.

  One test you should do is measure a portion size by guessing.
  Then when you have the amount in the bowl measure it by cups/or grams depending on the recommended portion size on the cereal box.
  It is likely that by guessing you have poured more than what is required.
  This can save you 100-200 calories just by measuring the exact amount.
  Another common mistake weight loss dieters make is not changing their drinking habits.
  It's obvious to everyone that eating habits have to be changed but not everyone changes the liquids they drink.
  Cutting down on sugary drinks and caffeine will help with weight loss.
  There are lots of calories in drinks that many people aren't aware of.
A third popular mistake is severely decreasing the amount of calories you eat daily.
  This deprives your body of the fuel it needs to function properly.
  As a result, your metabolism slows down to save as much energy as possible.
  As soon as you start eating properly again your body stores the food you eat as back up in case it suffers starvation again.
