How to Order a New Check Card
- 1). Call your bank's customer service number. Tell the customer service representative why you need a new card. If it was stolen or lost, the bank can close the card immediately.
- 2). Answer the security questions the customer service representative asks. He may ask for your account number, where you opened your account, your name, social security number and your primary residence. As long as you answer correctly, the customer service representative will inform you that your new card is on its way.
- 3). Ask if you can get a temporary replacement card. Some banks offer temporary replacement debit cards, so you will not have to wait the typical one to two weeks for your permanent card.
