How to Upgrade the Processor on a Dell GXA
- 1). Disconnect the computer and turn it around with the rear facing you.
- 2). Remove the screws holding the right cover to the computer chassis and lift the cover off.
- 3). Pull the old processor out of its slot. The processor sits in the middle of the computer with a large aluminum radiator attached to it.
- 4). Place the new processor into the slot and push firmly. Ensure no contacts get out of the computer's slot.
- 5). Close up the computer and connect it again. Turn the computer on.
