• 1). Click the "Start" button in the lower left corner.
  
  
• 2). Click "Turn Off Computer."
  
  
• 3). Click "Turn Off," and wait for the computer to power off completely.
  
  

Windows Vista and 7

• 1). Click the "Start" button in the lower left corner.
  
  
• 2). Click the button that says "Shut Down." If running Windows Vista, click the triangle in the lower-right corner of the "Start" menu, and choose "Shut Down."
  
  
• 3). Wait for the computer to power off completely.
