Finding Balance Within Your Personality
A good balance is necessary in all areas of our lives.
As an example, people often want to be strong and independent.
However, the other side of strong is also to be nurturing and nurtured.
A strong person needs to balance life out with being nurtured sometimes and allowing others to nurture them too.
If you are always strong without the balance, the universe will provide you with some event in your life that forces you to nurture or be nurtured.
And, wouldn't you rather make the choice for yourself rather than get a cosmic two by four over the head!?! I am often the strong, independent one.
It is sometimes hard for me to ask for support or to be nurturing because being strong works so well for me and has allowed me to create great success in my life.
The interesting thing is I end up missing out on close connections and loving support in my life as a result of not allowing others in.
I miss out on the synergies that are created when two or more people work together towards the same end.
And I miss out on the relationships that are truly what makes a difference to me in my life.
What I have learnt is that the more I let myself be nurtured and show compassion to others, the more I get what I want in my life and the more I can make a difference for others.
The balance has made me a better leader, friend, boss and person.
