Foods to Treat Psoriasis
- Oily fish such as salmon, halibut and snapper contain omega fatty acids that help heal psoriasis.
- Flaxseed or flaxseed oil are also rich in the omega fatty acids. You can take flaxseed oil by the spoonful or eat flaxseed on yogurt or in baked goods.
- Cereals have been seen to reduce psoriasis because they can be fortified with folic acid. Folic acid has a healing effect on psoriasis.
- Broccoli is also high in folic acid, although in broccoli it is seen in its natural state, folate.
- Make sure that you are eating a diet rich in fiber. Psoriasis can go into remission faster when on a fiber-rich diet.
