If you don't have a lot of time, here is one exercise that will really make a difference: With your arms held at right angles to your body, stand as straight as possible.
Lift your arms up to shoulder height, keeping them in a vertical position.
Now, stand on you tip toes, lifting your heels as high as you can.
Try not to exhale while you're doing this.
Stay in this position for a few minutes or as long as you can, still without exhaling.
When you can't hold it any longer, resume your normal position and exhale.
Try doing this several times during your shows and you'll definitely notice a difference.
If you still have a little time and energy left, try this exercise as well.
Stand at attention in the middle of a room and slowly extend your arms up to shoulder height.
Breathe through your nose while you're doing this.
Make sure you do not bend your arms as you're raising them to your shoulders.
Hold them in that position for several minutes then move them backwards as far as you can comfortably extend them.
When you feel you can't hold them much longer, inhale deeply and slowly release them.
Start over and do this exercise a few times.
