Internet TV In Your Car Could Kill A Bicyclist Commuting To Work

New Internet TV looks as if it will find an application for cars.
Some folks from SEMA seem to be looking forward to this technology and car owners stuck in traffic really like the idea.
Of course, once there are a few accidents it will surely be banned, just like hand held cell phones in many states while driving.
Currently many states have rules against watching videos while driving already.
One might argue that if you are stuck in traffic why shouldn't you watch TV? Indeed, authorities are sure to have a much different idea about that, but it is a strong argument, after all, it is the authorities' fault that there is so much traffic anyway.
It might be nice to watch TV in traffic, but it would be far too easy to veer off the road onto the shoulder and cream a bicyclist, someone perhaps commuting to work.
The very person who is alleviating traffic by not being in your lane, so if you run them over you are hurting your own cause, but maybe you will slow traffic even worse and thus, you can watch TV more in traffic while paramedics arrive, police and while you are in prison for manslaughter? With drivers putting on make-up, talking on cell phones and kids doing instant messaging behind the wheel one has to wonder if those who install Internet TV screens in their automobiles, especially in the center console on the dashboard, will not cause more of the same tragic accidents that we have been reading about in the news.
Something to think about.
