How to Make Glitter Fonts
- 1). Stencils will be essential for high-quality glitter fonts. Glitter is the craft supply of imprecision, so adding sloppy penmanship will add obstacles to your projects. Stencils can be purchased from any arts and crafts department in a variety of alphabetical and numerical sizes and fonts. If you have a computer at home you could print your own stencil from online or a word document. This will take extra time for cutting, but is an adequate improvisation. Make the stencils as large as you want your glitter fonts.
- 2). With a pencil, stencil the necessary letters and symbols onto a heavyweight paper. Cut the stenciled font from your paper with a pair of durable scissors.
- 3). Spread school glue onto the letters with a thick brush. Make sure the glue is evenly spread and completely covers the letter.
- 4). Apply glitter to letters, generously to completely cover all visible glue. You can re-collect the excess glitter once the letters are dried.
- 5). After about 2 hours, shake excess glitter from letters. They should be dry; if not, check on them in another hour.
