PSP Horse Games
- The Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP), the handheld offshoot of the company's popular PlayStation video game system, offers a variety of games including genres like role playing, fighting, sports and strategy. The system also has games about horses, albeit much fewer than the PSP's more popular genres. However, the range of horse racing games includes kid-friendly, horse racing simulations and even classic games.
- Ubisoft released the horse simulation game "Petz: Saddle Club" in 2009. In the video game, players train and maintain their horses while making them compete in competitions. However, the game also has a plot, as the player must join a horse whisperer to save the ranch from bankruptcy or else an evil banker will take the ranch from the game's protagonist, Lily.
- Koei released three installments of their "Winning Post" franchise on the PSP. The first, "Winning Post 6 2006," was a port of the 2003 PlayStation 2 game "Winning Post 6." An update, "Winning Post 6 2008" came out in 2008 followed by "Winning Post 7" in 2009. In this franchise, players breed horses and bet on races, using any money won to hire people to help maintain the horses and improve the stable.
- Released in 2006, "Activision Hits Remixed" compiles 44 titles from the classic Atari 2600 video game system, several of which were previously unreleased. Amongst classics like "Pitfall!" and "River Raid" is 1981's "Stampede" a side-scrolling game where players ride a horse to round up increasing numbers calves who stampede at different speeds.
